Paxton is a family-run, fully certified organic and biodynamic wine producer since 1979. The winery sources all of its fruit from their estate vineyards in McLaren Vale that are known for producing superior quality red wines. The company was founded by David Paxton, one of Australia's most highly respected viticulturists reputed for managing and growing exceptional quality wine grapes for over 30 years. The Paxton family released their first wine, the 1998 Shiraz, under the Paxton label in 2000. Today, Paxton produces a range of approachable estate grown wines under the guidance and direction of winemaker Richard Freebairn, each of which showcases the region's fruit quality, varietal expression and natural diversity.
