You say Shiraz, I say Syrah’ – it’s the same grape but stylistically the wines are very different. We choose Syrah to reflect the more European refined, elegant and spicier expression of the variety. Blackcurrant and spicy black pepper aromas excite the senses which are rewarded with flavours of delicious dark plum and spice on the powerful and generous palate. Fine tannins and integrated oak further elevate this stylish wine which will reward careful cellaring over the coming years.
The definition of Provenance is the origin or beginning of something’s existence, and this perfectly embodies the essence of this exceptional range. Each hand-crafted, single varietal bottle expresses the premium vineyards where it began and reflects its transformation into beautiful wine. The fruit for this wine was picked during March 2019. A two-day cold soak was followed by a seven-day warm fermentation. The wine was then 100% barrel aged using a mixture of American and Hungarian oak.
