Rod and Suzanne Windrim bought a property in the renowned Hunter Valley wine region and planted their first vines on it in the year 1981. About a decade and a half later, they shifted to a beautiful and lush property in Broke Fordwich and there they planted a 48 - acre vineyard. These were the early beginnings of the Krinklewood wine estate. The Windrims attended courses on viticulture and wine processing at Kurri Kurri Tafe to further their knowledge and their business, and even attended a Rudolph Steiner Agriculture course. By 2002, they were fully capable of managing their land biodynamically as well as organically. In the year 2007, Krinklewood became fully certified as a biodynamic facility. The Krinklewood estate is mainly a family - owned and operated boutique winery and vineyard in Hunter Valley which consists of a skilled team of viticulturists and winemakers dedicated to producing elegant and delicious wines.
